Apologies for routing you to
my blog, but the mighty twitter would not let me combine an image and a
poll. So I set the poll up on twitter,
and, the image on this post. It was the
easiest way I could think of. Feel free
to let me know if there is an easier way.
Anyway I came across an
article in a newspaper that stated a large percentage of people did not know
what the object in the picture was at the top of the post. I could not believe this. Is it the case that I am so old now? I didn’t feel particularly old until I read
the press report, and, now I feel positively ancient. I used to have loads of
these in my childhood. It could have
even been considered in those days as being at the forefront of technology.
So please do not hesitate to
vote, and, see it what I read is actually true.
Please vote honestly, and, don’t worry about hurting my feelings!
For information if you are
wondering how I produced the image above, I composed it in a free open source
graphics package called “GIMP”. I am
still getting to grips with this package at the moment, and, just a word of
warning, it is not the easiest software to use.
The above image was my third attempt at getting it right, and, let’s
face it there is not a lot to it! This post has also been good for me in another way as it is the first time I have introduced an image in to a blog post, and, I must admit it look pretty good!
